Class of 1978
In 2004, I returned to Coronado as the principal of Palm Academy. Now I'm also serving as the Director of the new Coronado Pathways Charter School.
After graduation I took a Mountaineering course through Colorado Outward Bound School before entering college. While working at the Hotel Del Coronado to support my education, I attended Mesa , City, and San Diego State earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication. After a few years of wandering and wondering about my career, I attended National University and earned a multi-subject teaching credential, a Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Educational Technology, and an Administrative Services Credential. I taught in the San Diego County Office of Education's Juvenile Court and Community Schools in the Homeless Schools, Juvenile Detention Facilities, Summit Schools, and Independent Studies programs before becoming an administrator.
