Summer Enrichment Class Spotlight: Engineering- Force, Motion, Friction and Energy

In this exciting, hands-on experience, both girls and boys enjoy learning the fundamentals of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) using Hess toy trucks. The toy trucks are used to explore the forces of motion, force, friction, velocity, sound generation, energy transfer and measurements of speed, distance, mass and weight. Students will enjoy conducting various experiments using ramps and other fun accessories. We are excited to teach this curriculum for the first time in Coronado!

This class is taught by Annette Tickner, a credentialed teacher at Village Elementary. She is excited to have fun with your young learners while mentoring them as they explore concepts that incorporate math, science, and innovation.

Two sessions of the Engineering: Force, Motion Friction and Energy class are offered for students entering 4th, 5th and 6th grades in fall of 2017. The class is offered from July 10-14 from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and also from July 24-28 from 12:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
