Secret agents, ‘James Bond’ gents and gorgeous ladies enjoyed a night to remember as 425 guests attended the Coronado School Foundation Diamonds are Forever Benefit Auction at the iconic Hotel del Coronado on Saturday, October 14, 2017. Donna Salof and Amel Esposito co-chaired the gala with the support of incredible volunteers as well as the CSF Board and staff. Guests mingled in the Del’s Garden Patio, enjoying the ambiance with a solo guitarist, hors d’oeuvres and Bond-themed cocktails. When the ballroom doors opened, guests were in awe of the beautifully decorated room, thanks to volunteer Heather Frank and team, who created the fabulous décor. Guests were awed by the ice luge, shadow dancers and other surprises throughout the venue. As the sold-out crowd began their four-course gourmet dining experience, artfully created by the Del Chefs, they were entertained by a ‘James-Bond-esque’ video, produced by Tom Caitlin, with voice overs by Village students Leo Ursitti and Kalista Searles. During the Raise your Paddle initiative, five students spoke on the impact of funds raised by CSF on their education and career plans.
