In this season of giving, we ask you to consider supporting our local public schools via the Coronado Schools Foundation. With Coronado Unified School District state funding ranked 39th out of 41 school districts, simply due to our demographics, your support is crucial to maintain many of our science, technology, engineering, arts and math – STEAM programs – funded via CSF.

Coronado is an incredible community, and on behalf of the CSF Board, Staff and Auction Co-Chairs Amel Esposito and Donna Salof, we want to thank everyone who helped make this year’s CSF Auction, “Diamonds are Forever,” a huge success! This major fundraiser for our students could not be possible without the support from our community including volunteers, parents, and local businesses who donated items and experiences for our online and live auction, who attended and supported the event, and who volunteered to help set up and do all the behind-the-scenes work.  We are elated that the collective efforts of many netted a record $283,000!  These funds will directly impact student learning throughout the Coronado Unified School District.

Our events – Benefit Auction and Telethon – fund only 40% of our programs, the rest is up to you – parents, community members and business partners.  Through your continued support of our local schools, our 3,100 students have learning experiences and opportunities that are engaging and meaningful. Through funds from CSF, students follow their passions in band and choir, learn from guest artists, delve into coding and engineering concepts, and explore science and technology in labs and classroom experiences.

Sincerely,
Renee Cavanaugh
CSF Board Chairman
