Planned Giving & Endowment

Leaving this legacy of support will ensure that Coronado’s students continue to have access to the tools they need well into the future.

CSF established a Planned Giving Honor Society in 1996 to encourage and recognize those individuals who wish to provide a lasting gift to the students of Coronado’s public schools through a bequest in their will or trust.

Leaving this legacy of support will ensure that Coronado’s students continue to have access to the tools they need well into the future. Gifts may be made anonymously and all donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

In 2010, CSF received an unrestricted legacy gift of $3.8 million from Frances G. Harpst Trust. This amazing gift along with CSF’s own endowment were combined, with the CSF Finance Committee overseeing the endowment. Each year, 4% of the balance in the spring is calculated and returned to our schools to fuel STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) Pathways, K-12. Your gift will ensure our public schools have funding in perpetuity.

A planned gift may be of any amount, and made in a will or trust agreement; naming the Coronado Schools Foundation as the beneficiary of an insurance policy, retirement or IRA plan; or establishing a charitable trust or gift annuity.  For more information about making a planned gift to the Coronado Schools Foundation, please contact us at 619-437-8059 x 3 or email Patty Cowan at patty@csfkids.org. All inquiries are held in confidence.
