Financial Strategic Planning

It shall be the duty of the Financial Strategic Planning Committee to ensure the long term sustainability of the Corporation’s funding support to CUSD through transparency, integrity and long-term strategic planning to increase the Corporation’s funds. The Financial Strategic Planning Committee shall have only the duties delegated to it by these Bylaws or otherwise delegated to it by the Board of Directors.  The Financial Strategic Planning Committee shall not act as a replacement for the Board.  This committee’s responsibilities include the following:

  1. General.  The Financial Strategic Planning Committee will oversee development of additional streams of income for the Corporation, including: (a) working with the Fundraising Committee on fundraising campaigns and developing major fundraising initiative projects, and (b) identifying and recruiting key community members and/or businesses to participate in such projects.

  2. Endowment.  The Financial Strategic Planning Committee will oversee and propose methods for growing the Corporation’s Endowment, which may include a “Planned Giving Program.”

  3. Controls.   The Financial Strategic Planning Committee will provide budget and financial reporting through the development of internal and external dashboards, and training and transparency to both increase Board members’ understanding and increase Donor engagement.
